The Herald of Strength

Wandering solitary in the forest,

The engulfing darkness didn’t intimidate him;

For it couldn’t be more overwhelming,

Than his Mother’s faith in him.

A perpetual morbid silence is around:

Which drove many-a-mouths to insanity;

Yet he still continues to hear:

His Mother’s inaudible prayers for him.

His bare hands fought many beasts,

For none of them were strong enough:

To pierce through the cloak of bravery,

That his Mother had once woven for him.

Nor could any treacherous thorn

Get away with hurting him:

For what possibly can not be healed,

By the tender touch of Mother’s hand?

And he knew no ordeal was difficult,

Whilst her blessings strengthened him.

And her love always kept him going,

Like the oil of a glowing beacon.

  1. The pictures you put, the captions you decide, are so relevant, completely in sync with the work, rather complementing the theme so very well. Good work!
